Prepping for breakfast at the beginning of the week has never been easier with a 4 Ingredient Chia Pudding recipe.  It only takes 5 minutes to whip this chia pudding mix up and will keep in the fridge for at least 5 days..

You might like to eat Chia Pudding for dessert rather than breakfast, topped with bananas, fave berries or even a little maple syrup.

Simple but delicious.

So are Chia Seeds Healthy?

These dynamo seeds are loaded with fibre (one of the highest sources you’ll find) and a great antioxidant.  They pack a mighty vitamin punch for such a small seed.

If you would love to know more about this healthy seed you’ll find that this article lists 7 Health Benefits that are so amazing.

How much Water do you Need to add to Chia Seeds?

The ratio is 1/4 chia seeds to 1 cup of liquid. After adding the liquid to the chia seeds and mixing together, wait 5-10 minutes and mix again to remove any lumps in the jar.

You’ll start to see that they will change to a thickened wobbly like mixture. Also add them to juice if you like as well.

For a creamier textured chia pudding you can use any milk, plant based milk or for a richer thicker style coconut milk and a mix with coconut cream (rather decadent) is great.  We just love our Strawberry Chia Seed Pudding recipe which uses coconut milk and cream for a real yummy dessert treat.

Left overnight in the fridge the chia seeds will thicken even more. The seeds become soft and enlarge soaking up the liquid.

If you like and are short on time, you can eat the pudding after a couple of hours though.

What Flavours can you add to Chia Puddings?

This recipe has vanilla extract but really anything you like. To sweeten you can add honey or even add cocoa powder and spices for something different.

If you want to turn your 4 Ingredient Chia Pudding into a 5 ingredient one why not add some fresh blueberries and swap out the plant milk for coconut milk for a creamer more colourful version.
