Not only are they super easy to make right at home with just a few ingredients they’re really quick. In fact only 6 minutes!
Since we are quite new to the air fryer phenomenon, simple quick recipes have definitely been our go too. And what better way to upgrade your skills than with a 6 minute air fryer tortilla chip recipe.
Ingredients for Your Tortilla Chips
Tortillas – plain flour Mission brand is what we’ve used in this recipe
Olive oil – only a tiny bit will go a long way to make these tortilla chips crunchy.
Salt – love a little salt to make these babies even more moorish.
Preparing your Tortilla Chips
Stack your tortillas in a piles of around 3 and then cut them into halves. Now cut the halves into triangles so you get 3 x 9 triangles. Then do the same for the other half.
If you rather you can use kitchen scissors too.
Making the Best Tortilla Chips
For the mega crispiest ever tortilla chips try not to stack too many chips into the air fryer basket at the one time.
Cook for 3 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius then flip and cook another 3 minutes.
Just after cooking you can either spray with an olive oil spray after cooking or drizzle with olive oil from a bottle then sprinkle with salt.
The main thing to remember is that you only need a tiny amount of oil to create lovely crispy tortilla chips. (video below)⏬

How to Make Tortilla Chips in an Air Fryer
Quick and easy Crunchy Tortilla crisps with only 3 ingredients
- 3 Tortillas Corn or flour
- 1 tbs Olive Oil
Stack 3 tortillas together and cut into halves and then cut each half into 3 triangles and then doing the same to the other half of the tortilla stack.
Pop into the drawer of the air fryer being sure to leave enough room around the triangles so they crisp up lovely.
Set for 3 minutes on 200 degrees Celcius. Turn and cook for another 3 minutes and allow to cool on a wire rack.
Drizzle with olive oil to coat the triangles. Sprinkle with a little salt.
Eat with your favourite dip, salsa, humus or Greek Goddess Salad.
To store your tortillas pop into an air tight container and into your pantry. They should be crunchy for another 4 days. (that's if you have any leftovers!)
How Do You Store Homemade Crunchy Air Fryer Tortilla Chips?
These homemade air fryer nacho chips can be stored for up to 4 days in the pantry in an airtight container but honestly I don’t think they’ll last that long.
You can pop on different kinds of seasoning to make up your own individual flavours.
Try a little garlic or onion salt, paprika, cumin or chili powder for a extra spiciness.
