Prepping for breakfast at the beginning of the week has never been easier with a 4 Ingredient Chia Pudding recipe. It only takes 5 minutes to whip this chia pudding mix up and will keep in the fridge for at least 5 days.. It’s a handy work week meal prep hack. Add your favorite toppings. With a drizzle of honey for extra flavor, fruit purees, protein powder, coconut flakes, nut butter or even a few chocolate chips
You might like to eat Chia Pudding for dessert as a healthy snack rather than breakfast, topped with bananas, fave berries or even a little maple syrup. One I have in mind is our tropical Mango Passionfruit Chia Pudding. This is rather yummo as we get to use our favorite fruits of mango and passionfruit and also a drizzle of mango puree. Very delish.
Simple but delicious.

Recipe Tips
How much Water do you Need to add to Chia Seeds?
The ratio is 1/4 chia seeds to 1 cup of liquid. After adding the liquid to the chia seeds and mixing together, wait 5-10 minutes and mix again to remove any lumps in the jar. You’ll start to see that they will change to a thickened wobbly like mixture. Also add them to juice if you like as well.
Type of Milk options – any milk, plant based milk like oat milk, non-dairy milk such as almond. or milk of your choice.
For a creamier textured chia pudding you can use a richer thicker style coconut milk and a mix with coconut cream (rather decadent) is great. If you like chia pudding recipes then you’ll love our Strawberry Chia Seed Pudding recipe which uses coconut milk and cream for a real yummy dessert treat. A lovely creamy chia pudding.
What container can I use for my chia seed puddings? While a lot of people use a mason jar, any type of jar that is airtight will work fine.
Left overnight in the fridge the chia seeds will thicken even more. The seeds become soft and enlarge soaking up the liquid to a pudding consistency..
If you like and are short on time, you can eat the pudding after a couple of hours though.
What Flavours can you add to Chia Puddings?
While this is one of the basic recipes, adding a little flavour like vanilla extract (really anything you like) will give this wholesome vegan recipe a lift. To sweeten you can add honey, maple syrup or even add cocoa powder and spices for something different.
If you want to turn your 4 Ingredient Chia Pudding into a 5 ingredient one why not add some fresh blueberries and swap out the plant milk for coconut milk for a creamer more colourful version.

Make a coulee and do alternate layers to add more flavour and colour for an eye-catching pudding alternative.
