Why Use Frozen Peas?

This dip is designed to be made speedily so frozen peas can be easily accessed from the drawer in your freezer. We used Birds Eye Snap Frozen Australian Baby Peas for this recipe.

Frozen peas often keep their colour and makes the Avocado Pea and Mint Dip look extra beautiful and green.

How to Make Your Avocado Pea and Mint Dip

Honestly this would have to be the quickest and simplest Avocado and Pea dip recipe to have on hand.

Fresh Avocado Pea and Mint Dip

Pop your frozen peas into a bowl and cover with boiling water for 5 minutes.

Strain and add all the other ingredients – lemon juice, sprigs of mint, avocado, olive oil, salt & pepper and mix up in your food processor. Voila! your mix is done.

What Consistency Should the Dip be?

A little bit of chunkiness adds a nice texture to this recipe.  It’s totally up to you but it’s nice to have a little bit of lumpiness.

Some like it to be an almost a Peas and Avocado puree consistency which then becomes more of a spread rather than a dip.

What to eat with your Avocado Pea and Mint Dip

We love eating dips with our Easy Seed Crackers  But really you can eat the dip in so many ways.  Your fave water crackers, carrot and celery sticks, corn chips, pita breads, bread stick rounds….well just about anything.

Or even smooshed on sourdough before you top it with some sweet red tomatoes and ham.  The list is endless.

How long will the Avocado, Pea and Mint dip last?

Good question.  I think this is a dip you should consume within a couple of days.  Well you might find that it won’t even last that long. Ha ha. 😄

Store you dip covered in the fridge.  Give it a quick stir if it’s been in the fridge longer than 12 hours to freshen it up.
