With so many ingredients listed on labels these days it’s hard to know what’s what. Especially when body products are left on your skin for hours at a time.
Plus natural ingredients pack a punch and can stimulate and nourish the skin while chemical derived products often just mask the issue such as dry skin concerns.
Below are some our faves for face and body that we’ve tried and loved.
Natural Face Oils
Skin Juice Superfood Brightening Face Oil.
This 50 ml bottle packs a punch of nourishing goodness. $55.00
Skin Type: Most skin types (perfect for mature and dry ones).
Texture: It’s a lightweight oil but heavy enough for drier complexions. I found this sinks in quickly and not too oily.
Key Ingredients: Sea buckthorn oil – essential fatty acid plant oil that helps protect and plump the skin. Kakadu Plum – super high vitamin C content to help reduce collagen breakdown. Camelia Seed Oil – replenishes the skins barrier to help prevent water loss. (absorbs into the skin easily).
I used this brand of skincare in the salon and was an absolute fave.

Eco Tan Glory Oil
A lighter weight oil loaded with a multitude of organic oils and antioxidants. $49.95
Skin Type: Usually recommended for blemished, problematic skins, fine lined or just wanting a radiant glow and great for all skin types.
Texture: It’s a lightweight oil, sinks in quickly. Great for Summer time as a lighter oil.
Key Ingredients: A gorgeous combo of oils including Organic Grape Seed, Coconut, Jojoba, Acai, Chia and Vitamin E.
Pumpkin Seed Oil – helps with calming dry, red skin, nourishes and restores skin without that heavy oily feeling.
Inca Inchi – High in omegas to nourish and restore skin to its true glory.

Gorgeous bronzer that not only gives you a glow but nourishes your skin at the same time. (love this one). $35.00
Skin Type: Suitable for all Skin Types
Texture: Medium weight oil.
Key Ingredients: Camellia, Jojoba, Coconut and Apricot Kernel oil.
Shea and Cacao butters (may fave) keep the skin super soft.
Natural Mica – the ingredient that gives that subtle glow!
Loved this product so much. I used this over summer and into the cooler months.

Salus Hair Duo – Shampoo and Conditioner Pack
Bundle of hair goodness. $60.00
Usage: Suitable for everyday use.
Texture: Shampoo – is thickish clear gel which foams. Conditioner is creamy white consistency and nourishes beautifully.
Key Ingredients: Formulated with purifying cedarwood bark, bergamot peel, soothing lavender, tea tree leaf, eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils
I’m using this product at the moment. Took a little while to get used to the consistency of the gel like shampoo but leaves my hair lovely. Easy to style afterwards.

Choosing Better For You Skincare
The Skin care industry was valued in 2022 at a 144 billion USD$. Yikes! With so many products are out there it can be confusing to know what is actually good for you and your skin.
The above products are ones we’ve tried and have found them to be wonderful for us, but as always if you’re not sure read the labels, ask your beauty therapist and skin care specialist if unsure.
I do always like to research any ingredient that isn’t familiar to be sure where it’s derived from, how it’s manufactured etc.
After learning about ingredients like Synthetic Food Colorings, PEGS, Parabens, Alcohols and Phthalates, Petrochemicals, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Artificial Dyes, SLS/SLES, GMO’S, Formaldehyde, Aluminum and Sulphates it’s quite scary what is actually in so many products.
Sometimes there’s no other way but to use a product with a chemical additive, but being aware can help how you use them.
