These Healthy Homemade Peanut Butter Twix Bars are rather moorish and awesome as a perfect snack or a sweet treat after dinner. The best part is that they are made with all natural ingredients you’ll probably already have on hand at home and are much healthier than store bought versions.
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius and grease and line a square tin 20 cm x 20 cm with baking paper and set aside.
Mix almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla and coconut oil in a bowl until dough forms. Press firmly into pan to create even layer. Bake 15 minutes until golden. Let it cool little before adding the next layer.
Now pop the peanut butter, coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla into a small pot and cook for a couple of minutes on medium heat stirring all the time. When a few bubbles appear pour over cooled base and pop into the fridge for around an hour.
Melt chocolate in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth and runny. Pour chocolate over peanut layer and tilt to ensure the chocolate reaches all sides. Be quick as the chocolate can set really quickly. Chill for 20 more minutes or until firm.
Cut into bars using sharp knife and eat ASAP. Or store covered in a container in the fridge. Enjoy!!
Feel free to leave out the salt if you prefer.
How to store:
Preserve the scrumptiousness of your homemade twix bars by storing them the right way! Keep them fresh and tasty by locking them up tight in a chilled and sealed container!
