Easy Basil Pesto

Quick and easy basil pesto made with 6 ingredients you'll already have on hand at home.

  • blender or thermomix

Ingredients

  • 80 gms parmesan finely grated
  • 80 gms basil leaves
  • 30 gms pine nuts
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 150 gms olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Finely grate parmesan or purchase already grated and add into a blender, food processor or Thermomix.
  • Add the pine nuts, garlic, 80 grams of fresh basil leaves, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 150 gms of olive oil.
  • Blitz till fine liquid consistency.
  • Pour into a clean jar and store in the fridge.

Notes

Use pesto on pasta, as a dip and a topper on roasted veggies.  The use for basil pesto is endless.
